Non-urgent advice: Extended Access & Out of Hours
We are closed on Saturdays, Sundays, Bank Holidays and between 1.00 and 2.00pm.
Out of hours – If you need to speak to a Doctor after the surgery has closed, please call 111. The new NHS 111 service will take your details, offer advice or arrange for you to see a doctor at a local treatment centre or arrange a home visit.
As a patient at Southover Medical Practice you can now see a GP or other health care professional either with ourselves or at another surgery in Torquay or Paignton on the following days :-
Saturdays 8 a.m. & 6. p.m.
Sundays 8 a.m. & 2 p.m.
To book an appointment either in the evening or at weekends please talk to our receptionists, these appointments which are outside normal surgery hours must be pre-booked, this is not a walk in or acute service, for any acute illness please continue to contact 111.
When booking an appointment the receptionist will ask if you consent to sharing your medical records with a clinician at another surgery. Once consent is gained only the clinician you see will be able to access your medical records (for 28 days from your initial booking). If you do not consent then you will not be able to book an appointment.
